We are seeking experienced or aspiring developers who are community minded and share our interest in the future of Harrisburg and its adjacent communities. Accelerators should be committed to blight removal, creating more quality housing, and making Harrisburg a better place to live, work and enjoy.
ABOUT US
Jumpstart Harrisburg (formerly Your New Home Accelerator) is an affiliate program of Jumpstart Germantown. Founded in 2015, Jumpstart grew from a couple of students sitting in an office to multiple training sessions a year with 60+ participants at a time. In the last five years, their model has yielded real success in making the Germantown section of Philadelphia a better place to live, work and enjoy. Since then, Jumpstart has expanded to other neighborhoods, cities, and towns such as Norristown, Kensington, North Philly, Southwest, Tioga, West Philly, Wilmington, DE and now Harrisburg!
WHAT WE OFFFER
TRAINING PROGRAM
The Training Program consists of 16 hours of instruction using the comprehensive Jumpstart curriculum. In the program, you’ll learn about the 7 JumpSteps of real estate development and visit a local construction site.
DEVELOPERS NETWORK
The Developers’ Network creates opportunities to make connections and build mutually beneficial relationships. Through networking events and social media, like-minded developers, industry leaders and neighborhood stakeholders connect, share resources, and learn from one another.
FINANCING PROGRAM
Our Financing program connects students with financing for the acquisition and renovation of residential properties in Harrisburg and its adjacent neighborhoods. The Loan Program is available to both experienced and novice developers but first-time developers are encouraged to participate in the Training Program.
ACCELERATOR NETWORK
Your New Home Accelerator utilizes a custom platform to host everyone that participates and contributes to the program. This central point of interaction provides the basis of connectivity, collaboration, and partnership!
