Why the process matters

Without a Complete Plan, Small Mistakes Can Become Expensive Project Problems.

Aspiring developers can underestimate costs, overlook property restrictions, select the wrong contractor, or enter a project without a workable final strategy.

Property Risk

Condition, zoning, title, permits, and intended use can change whether the project is viable.

Financial Risk

Acquisition, rehab, financing, holding, and operating costs must support the projected outcome.

Execution Risk

Scope, contractors, schedule, payments, inspections, and the exit strategy must work together.

Jumpstart Harrisburg gives you a structured way to examine those decisions before you commit more time and money.

Cancellation and refunds

Registration cancellations must be submitted in writing. Cancellations received at least seven calendar days before the published registration deadline are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations received fewer than seven calendar days before the registration deadline are nonrefundable. However, participants who provide notice before the first session begins may request a one-time transfer of their registration fee to the next available Jumpstart Harrisburg cohort, subject to availability. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued after the course begins, including for missed sessions, partial attendance, failure to complete the course, or failure to qualify for mentoring. If Jumpstart Harrisburg cancels the cohort, registrants will receive a full refund. If the cohort is postponed, registrants may transfer their registration to the rescheduled dates or request a refund. Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method.

Attendance and completion

Full attendance is expected and is required for Jumpstart Harrisburg mentoring eligibility. Participants should arrive on time and remain for the full session. Unexpected absences will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Participants should notify Jumpstart Harrisburg as soon as possible if an emergency prevents them from attending. Completing the attendance requirements establishes mentoring eligibility but does not guarantee placement with a mentor.

Cohort changes

Jumpstart Harrisburg may make reasonable changes to facilitators, individual session content, site-visit details, or delivery format when necessary.
