These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Jumpstart Harrisburg website, programs, events, applications, registrations, communications, and related services.

Jumpstart Harrisburg is a real estate development education and community program operated by Your New Home, LLC.

By using this website, submitting an application or registration, participating in a Jumpstart Harrisburg program or event, or otherwise using our services, you acknowledge these Terms and Conditions.

Program Purpose

Jumpstart Harrisburg provides education, networking, resources, and community connections related to real estate development and investing.

Programs and services may include training courses, Developers Network events and communications, webinars, workshops, mentorship opportunities, educational resources, and other activities.

Program offerings, dates, locations, eligibility requirements, fees, instructors, content, and availability may change.

Any additional terms presented during registration or enrollment for a particular program or event also apply to that registration.

Applications and Enrollment

Submitting an application to Jumpstart Harrisburg does not guarantee admission to, enrollment in, or a seat in a future training cohort.

Application responses may be reviewed to better understand an applicant's experience, goals, readiness, and connection to the community.

Applicants may be contacted when future enrollment opportunities become available.

Completion of an application does not constitute paid enrollment. When applicable, participants must complete the required enrollment and payment process to secure participation in a training cohort.

Developers Network

The Jumpstart Harrisburg Developers Network is a free community for aspiring and experienced developers, real estate professionals, industry partners, and others interested in responsible real estate development.

Individuals who submit a Jumpstart Harrisburg rolling application may also be enrolled in the Developers Network and receive related communications.

Developers Network participation may include educational communications, invitations to events, networking opportunities, program updates, and access to resources.

Participation in the Developers Network does not create a partnership, joint venture, agency relationship, fiduciary relationship, employment relationship, or other formal business relationship between Jumpstart Harrisburg, Your New Home, LLC, or individual network members.

Jumpstart Harrisburg does not guarantee or endorse any contractor, lender, real estate professional, vendor, investment opportunity, partnership, business arrangement, or other third-party relationship that may arise through the Developers Network.

Participants are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into any transaction, contract, partnership, investment, or business relationship.

Training

Jumpstart Harrisburg training is educational in nature and is intended to help participants better understand the real estate development process.

Training may address subjects including development strategy, property sourcing, due diligence, financing, design and permitting, construction management, leasing, property management, selling, refinancing, and holding real estate.

Completion of training does not guarantee that a participant will successfully purchase property, obtain financing, complete a development project, earn a profit, qualify for mentorship, or achieve any particular business or financial result.

Mentorship

Participants who satisfy applicable program requirements may become eligible for mentorship opportunities.

Eligibility does not guarantee a mentor assignment.

Mentorship availability may depend on participant readiness, mentor availability, project fit, conflicts of interest, program capacity, and other considerations.

Mentors may independently provide professional or paid services outside of the Jumpstart Harrisburg mentorship program. Any decision to engage a mentor or another participant for paid services or to enter into a business relationship, partnership, investment, or transaction is solely between the parties involved.

Jumpstart Harrisburg and Your New Home, LLC are not responsible for losses, disputes, damages, obligations, or other outcomes arising from independent business relationships formed through the program.

Financing

Jumpstart Harrisburg does not currently provide loans or grants.

Information about lenders, financing programs, government programs, financial institutions, community development financial institutions, or other funding resources may be shared for educational or informational purposes.

Providing information about a financing source does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of eligibility, approval, interest rate, loan terms, funding amount, or availability.

Participants are responsible for evaluating financing options and obtaining appropriate professional advice.

Educational Information and Professional Advice

Information provided by Jumpstart Harrisburg is for educational and informational purposes only.

Nothing provided through the website, training program, Developers Network, webinars, events, instructors, mentors, communications, worksheets, presentations, or other materials constitutes legal, tax, accounting, lending, financial, investment, engineering, architectural, construction, or other professional advice.

Real estate development and investing involve financial and operational risk.

Participants should conduct their own due diligence and consult appropriately licensed or qualified professionals before making real estate, legal, financial, construction, tax, or investment decisions.

Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds

Certain Jumpstart Harrisburg programs may require payment.

Any applicable fee, payment deadline, cancellation policy, refund policy, reimbursement opportunity, scholarship condition, or other financial term will be disclosed as part of the applicable registration or enrollment process.

Program-specific payment and cancellation terms presented at registration will apply to that transaction.

Email Communications

When you provide an email address through an application, registration, event signup, or other interaction with Jumpstart Harrisburg, we may send communications reasonably related to your request or relationship with the program.

These communications may include application confirmations, registration information, Developers Network communications, event notices, educational content, training opportunities, program updates, and other relevant information.

Where required, marketing emails will provide a method to unsubscribe.

Transactional or administrative communications necessary to fulfill an active registration, transaction, or request may still be sent when appropriate.

SMS Messaging Program

Jumpstart Harrisburg may offer optional SMS messaging.

SMS consent is not required to submit an application, register for a program, make a purchase, or participate in Jumpstart Harrisburg.

Providing a phone number alone does not constitute consent to receive SMS messages.

Where both categories are offered, marketing/promotional SMS consent and non-marketing/informational SMS consent are collected separately. Individuals may choose either, both, or neither.

Non-Marketing and Informational Messages

If you consent to non-marketing SMS communications, messages may include items such as:

Application confirmations and application-related updates; Developers Network membership or administrative information; registration confirmations; reminders for events or programs for which you have registered; scheduling or logistical updates; and other service-related or informational communications.

Marketing and Promotional Messages

If you separately consent to marketing and promotional SMS communications, messages may include information about:

Upcoming Jumpstart Harrisburg training opportunities; Developers Network events; webinars and workshops; special program opportunities; registration openings; promotional offers; and other Jumpstart Harrisburg programs or activities.

Consent to one category of SMS messages does not constitute consent to the other category.

Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency may vary depending on the programs, registrations, events, or communication categories for which you have provided consent.

Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier's standard messaging and data charges may apply to messages sent to you and messages you send to us.

Opting Out

You may stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.

After an opt-out request is processed, you may receive a confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. We will not continue sending messages covered by that opt-out unless you later provide a new valid opt-in.

To rejoin an SMS messaging program after opting out, you may complete an applicable Jumpstart Harrisburg opt-in form again or otherwise provide a new valid consent.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, materials provided by Jumpstart Harrisburg or Your New Home, LLC, including training materials, presentations, worksheets, graphics, videos, written content, website materials, and educational resources, are owned by or licensed to Your New Home, LLC or used with permission.

Program materials are provided for personal educational use unless otherwise stated.

Users may not reproduce, sell, commercially distribute, publish, modify, or repurpose protected program materials without appropriate permission.

Acceptable Conduct

Participants are expected to interact respectfully with instructors, mentors, staff, guests, partners, and other participants.

Jumpstart Harrisburg reserves the right to restrict participation or access when conduct is unlawful, threatening, abusive, fraudulent, disruptive, discriminatory, unsafe, or materially inconsistent with program expectations.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Jumpstart Harrisburg services and educational materials are provided for informational and educational purposes.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, no warranty is made regarding the completeness, accuracy, suitability, availability, profitability, or results of any information, program, event, resource, referral, or educational material.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Your New Home, LLC, Jumpstart Harrisburg, and their owners, representatives, instructors, mentors, volunteers, partners, and service providers will not be responsible for losses, damages, expenses, liabilities, investment results, project outcomes, business disputes, financing decisions, construction outcomes, or other consequences resulting from independent decisions made by participants.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be prohibited by law.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions may be updated periodically to reflect changes to our programs, practices, legal requirements, or services.

The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

Continued use of Jumpstart Harrisburg services after changes become effective constitutes acknowledgment of the updated Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
